You only need 3 ingredients for this recipe! No eggs, no oil, no extras!
- 1 box Spice Cake Mix
- 16-ounce can Pumpkin Puree
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
That’s it! That is all that is standing between you and a batch of delicious Fall cookies.
You can get extra if you want, as I did, and place a few extra chocolate chips on each dough ball just before baking! That way they give you a pretty finished product.
What If I Can’t Find Spice Cake Mix?
This time of year, it can be tough to find cake mixes in stores. It’s wildly popular and often sells out.
Have no fear, you can still make these pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!
I have substituted the spice cake mix for both white and yellow cake mix before and both work great. You will need to add a tablespoon of pumpkin pie seasoning to the batter to give it the cinnamon spice flavor. But, it totally works!
It does make it 4 ingredients rather than 3 but this recipe is still just that easy!

Ingredients
- 1 box Spice Cake Mix
- 16 ounce can Pumpkin Puree
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together the cake mix, pumpkin, and chocolate chips until just incorporated. Don't overmix.
- Scoop the cookies out onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges just begin to brown. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet before serving.
