All-American Cheeseburger Sliders
The easiest, most delicious all-American cheeseburger sliders! Ready in under an hour and perfect to feed a hungry crowd!
Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 large yellow onion, diced
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 6 ounces cheddar, shredded
- 24 kings Hawaiian dinner rolls
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
- American Flag toothpicks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350˚F. Grease a baking sheet.
- Place a large skillet over medium/high heat with olive oil. Add diced onion and ground beef, breaking up with a spatula—season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until just cooked through, then remove from heat.
- Cut the buns in half. Place the bottom half of the dinner rolls on a baking sheet and line the bread with sliced cheese. Spread the mayo on top of the cheese. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the sliced cheese, using the back of a spatula to square off the edges. Cover the ground beef with shredded cheddar.
- Place the tops of the buns, cut side down, over the burgers. Brush the tops with melted butter and immediately sprinkle them with sesame seeds.
- Bake at 350˚F for 12-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown. Garnish with American Flag toothpicks if desired.
