Cookie Dough Protein Bites
I love making protein bites to have on hand in my fridge when I need them! They are an easy, quick treat that works great when my sweet tooth hits, which is often.
I love it when my protein bites taste like cookie dough! It makes them that much better!
These Monster Cookie Protein Bites are sweet, salty, and crave-worthy! They do taste like cookie dough, too!
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Peanut butter: It’s best to use natural peanut butter, just peanuts and salt. Stir it well before measuring.
- Honey
- Oats
- Salt
- Vanilla Protein Powder: My favorite is Clean Simple Eats. You can use my affiliate discount code “alexdaynes” to save.
- Mini Chocolate Chips
- Mini M&M’s
- Optional: Milk: If the protein bites feel dry or you don’t use natural peanut butter, you’ll need milk to help the dough form.
Protein Bite Tip
Any time I make protein bites, I want them to taste like cookie dough.
The best way to achieve that is to grind or blend your old-fashioned oats. This will give your oats a flour-like texture, and the protein bites will taste more like cookie dough.
This is just a personal preference. I, for instance, don’t like oatmeal in my cookies. If I do add oatmeal, I’ll grind it down first so I get the taste but not the texture. This is my go-to oatmeal chocolate chip recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1 cup creamy natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 scoops CSE simply vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup mini m&ms
- Optional: 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Place old-fashioned oats in a blender or food processor and blend until it makes an oat flour.
- Combine oat flour (made above) with peanut butter, honey, protein powder, M&M's, and chocolate chips. If the dough is too dry, add milk.
- Make tablespoon-sized dough balls and roll them into balls.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
Depending on the type of peanut butter you use (natural vs not) you may want to adjust the amounts used. If the dough is too dry, add milk! If it's too "wet," add more oats or oat "flour" (made in step 1).
