With the holiday season right around the corner, everyone is looking for quick and easy recipes to make to throw on the table! These Instant Pot Glazed Carrots are amazing for two reasons. 1- they are made in the Instant Pot, which saves you a place on your stove top and makes for easy clean up! 2- they taste amazing! These are not your average cooked carrots. Make them with me!
Instant Pot
I use my Instant Pot almost every single day! I love how it cooks things up so quickly and I love that it saves me stove top and space in my oven!
These Glazed Carrots are so easy to make in the Instant Pot! This recipe is an easy dump recipe! Simply add all the ingredients right into your pot, and pressure it. Start to finish these are done in 12 minutes.
With carrots, unlike other vegetables in the Instant Pot, you don’t have to use your steamer basket! Carrots are firm enough vegetable that they can stand to be in the water without getting mushy. Other vegetables like broccoli and green beans, need to be cooked using a steamer basket.
Carrots you can throw right into the pot! They will still have a little crunch too!
Baby Carrots
Out of total convenience, I used baby carrots! I use baby carrots a lot because they are just ready to roll. Every once in a while, you get one with a bad end, but just throw that out.
If you want to use large carrots and peel and prep them, go for it! Nothing wrong with that! The cook times will stay the same regardless what you choose to use.
Other easy, holiday sides!
