Hello August, and Hello Peach Season! Give me ALL the fresh peach pies! I love a chilled, fresh peach pie topping with a generous dollop of homemade whipping cream in the summer. There seriously isn’t anything better! My grandma shared her peach pie recipe with me and is allowing me to share it with you! Let’s get baking!
Peach Pie
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I am not a big fan of pie. Last year, I challenged myself to make friends with pie! Which I am happy to say, I found a few recipes that I LOVED!
I’ll share those recipes below! But, that being said, I still don’t love warm fruit.
This Peach Pie is great because it is served CHILLED! It’s made with fresh peaches, flaky pie crust, and served with whipped cream!
The Crust
For this recipe, I used a premade pie crust to keep things simple! If you want to go all out and make your crust from scratch, you can totally do that too!
My recipe for homemade pie crust can be found HERE and it’s a good one!
Peach Season
Since peach season is here, I challenge you to make your own Fresh Peach Pie and share the results with me!
You can pick up fresh peaches here in Utah between July and September at local farmers markets and fruit stands!
I love supporting and eating local!
This pie is really simple and easy to make, just follow the recipe! Tag me if you make it, and I’ll be sure to share! Follow me on instagram at @thealexdaynes/ so we can connect!
