This viral Baked Feta Pasta originated on TikTok early this year, and it went viral for good reason! It’s totally delicious, and it couldn’t be easier to make! All you need is cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, basil, olive oil, and pasta of your choice! As you can see, I opted to make mine with tortellini and I love the combination. Make it with me!
Virtal Baked Feta Pasta
As mentioned above, this recipe originated on TikTok, and credit goes to that amazing creator. The cooking method is so easy to for this recipe, and it tastes amazing and that’s why it’s so popular on the internet right now!
You only need a handful of ingredients and this dish is ready in under an hour! The best part is, it’s really a set it and forget it type of easy dinner.
I would best describe this dish as fresh! It tastes so fresh and flavorful!
What You’ll Need:
- Cherry Tomatoes- or grape tomatoes. Their small size means gives flavor, and the presentation of the tomatoes when they burst is just stunning.
- Feta Cheese- you can use a block of feta or the crumbled feta for this recipe. You can also use cream cheese or goat cheese if you don’t like feta.
- Olive Oil- use good quality olive oil for the best flavor.
- Garlic- fresh is best but use what you have on hand.
- Salt & Pepper- to generously season
- Italian Seasoning- for flavor
- Cooked Pasta- any type works! Regular noodles, or tortellini noodles like I chose to use.
- Fresh or dried Basil- to garnish and add flavor
- Parmesan Cheese- cuz why not!
Why Use Tortellini
The first time I made this recipe, I had a container of tortellini from Sam’s Club in my fridge. I thought it might be yummy in the sauce, so that is what I used.
Since then, I can’t imagine it with regular noodles. I love how the tortellini tastes in the recipe and gives it just a bit more bite.
The star of the show in this recipe is cheese. We are baking the feta to create the sauce and I think having cheese packed tortellini pairs beautifully with this recipe.
Really, you can use ANY pasta you can imagine. I’ve seen it done with spaghetti noodles, cavatappi, penne, bowtie, and fettuccine. So you do you boo!
