The other day, a good friend called me with this crazy idea to recreate the butterbeer you can buy at Harry Potter World. The idea had never occurred to me before but I figured we could give it a shot. He had the recipe and we headed to Walmart. The finished product was surprisingly amazing.

Harry Potter Butterbeer
Syrup:
-3/4 c milk
-1 1/2 c sugar
-1/2 c butter
-2 Tbs Karo Corn Syrup
-1 tsp baking soda
Cook until boiling in large sauce pan. Turn down and simmer for 7 minutes. When done, add 1 tsp vanilla. Turn a couple of times while it cooks for a minute and it keeps the frofty top.
If you want to serve hot, pour syrup immediately into a glass, 1/4 syrup to 3/4 cream soda. Top with whip cream and enjoy.
If you want to serve it cold, refrigerate the syrup first before mixing it with cream soda and ice. Top with whip cream and enjoy!
