What You’ll Need to Make Chinese Chicken Salad
This salad is simple and easy to make! You can also customize it to fit your flavor profile!
- One head green cabbage
- One head Nappa cabbage
- One head romaine
- Green onions
- Cashews or almonds
- Cooked chicken breasts
- Cucumber
- Sugar Snap Peas
- Mandarine oranges
- Sesame seeds
- Dry Ramen Noodles
If you want to save yourself time chopping, you can also buy a premade chopped salad kit. Look for the ones that include cabbage, a little romaine, and carrots.
What You’ll Need to Make the Asian Vinaigrette Dressing
- Canola or Avocado Oil
- Rice Vinegar
- Sugar
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 Chicken flavor packets from ramen noodles
Making Your Own Ramen Chicken Flavoring
If you don’t have ramen noodles, or you forget to save the seasoning packets that they come with, no worries. You can still make this dressing by making the seasoning mix at home!
It’s so delicious, I’ll probably end up using this seasoning blend for other things too!
- 2 Tablespoons Poultry Seasoning
- 2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoons chicken-flavored boullion
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Mix all of the seasonings together and store the ramen seasoning in an airtight container. For this recipe, you’ll want to use a tablespoon of this homemade mix.

Chinese Chicken Salad
The best Chinese chicken salad with homemade Asian vinaigrette dressing.
Ingredients
- 1 head green cabbage
- 1 head nappa cabbage
- One head romaine, chopped
- 2 green onions, diced
- 3-4 cooked chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1/2 cup suar snap peas
- 8 ounce can mandarine orange, drained
- 2 Tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped cashews or almonds
- 2 packages chicken ramen noodles, crumbled, and save the seasoning for dressing
Asian Vinaigrette
- 1 cup canola or avocado oil
- 6 Tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 packages chicken flavored ramen seasoning
Instructions
- Chop and dice the cabbage and vegetables for the salad and place in a large bowl with the remaining ingredients.
- Mix all the dressing ingredients together and store it in the fridge until ready to serve.
- Toss the salad with the dressing and enjoy!
