Would you believe me if I told you this rich, decadent chocolate peanut butter ice cream is good for you? Well start believing! This “nice cream” is made with frozen bananas, cocoa powder, peanut butter, honey, and almond milk and it tastes just like a fudgey ice cream! You wouldn’t even know it’s not ice cream if I didn’t tell you! It’s the perfect way to beat the heat, without betting on your bikini body! Make it with me!
The base of this nice cream is frozen bananas. I like to use over ripe bananas because instead of throwing them away, I just simply remove the peels, place them in a plastic bag, and pop them in the freezer for later use! I love having frozen bananas on hand because not only can I use them for this nice cream, but I also throw them in my smoothies in the morning!
To get the chocolate peanut butter flavor, I use cocoa powder and peanut butter! You could use only one, or both, or neither and try your own flavor combination! I am a big chocolate peanut butter fan, so this is a match made in heaven for me! It tastes like a recees peanut butter ice cream!
I call this recipe “nice cream” because it’s nice to your body! It’s dairy free, and made with all whole ingredients! Do you ever crave something sweet, but it’s just not worth the calories? Or, maybe it is, but then you feel kind of guilty because you ‘messed up’ your diet? Well, not anymore! This Chocolate Peanut Butter Nice Cream is DIVINE!
Chocolate Peanut Butter Nice Cream
Yields 4-6 servings
4 frozen bananas
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon honey
Place all the ingredients in a food processor. Turn the processor on high and run until mixture is smooth.
Place batter into an ice cream dish (I used a bread pan) and let it sit in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours.
Scoop and serve!
*Tip I topped mine with melted peanut butter and cocoa bar in a jar! When the warm toppings touch the cold ice cream, it hardened! It was like eating candy!
