These Glazed Donut Kabobs are so cute and will be perfect for your next event! They are simple, beautiful, and delicious! They take little to no time at all to make, and your guests will love them! They are a perfect finger food! I make these Glazed Donut Kabobs for almost every event I do, because people love them and your guests will love them too!
The idea of doing Glazed Donut Kabobs first came to me last summer when I catered a wedding. One of the brides had seen something similar on Pinterest and wanted them for her event! They were so simple, but looked very elegant. She wanted hers with glazed donuts, strawberries, and blackberries so that is what we did! Hers were double the size of what I like to do but you can assemble these kabobs however you want! This has been the flavor combination I have stuck with ever since this event! The strawberry is sweet, the donut hole is savory, and the blackberry is a little tart. It is the perfect treat! The kabobs were so pretty and people loved them because they could just pick them up and eat them with their hands, without getting a sticky mess from the glazed donut hole. Kids love them, your friends will love them, and you will love them too!
I get my donut holes at Dick’s Marketplace in Bountiful! I like to order my own batch about a week before the event, so I know I will get them fresh! You could buy prepackaged donut holes, but I like to use the freshest ingredients. You could also use any flavor of donut hole you want! I like the glaze because I know it is popular among most larger crowds, but chocolate would be delicious or powdered donut holes! The possibilities really are endless here! You can’t go wrong with serving a donut on a stick to people at your next event.
The most time consuming part of putting this dessert together is getting the strawberries prepped! For larger groups, I usually prep mine the night before. I use my Chef’n StemGem Strawberry Huller to remove the stems! It is so quick and efficient, and it keeps the strawberries shape looking pretty because I don’t have to remove the entire top of the strawberry. It is one of my favorite gadgets in my kitchen and I use it all the time!
This past bridal shower, these kabobs were the first to go! Everyone enjoyed them and I will be keeping them on my menus for catering events in the future! Along with Let’s get to assembling these!
