Calling all Grinch lovers! This festive, holiday meal is for you! How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a must-watch, classic Christmas movie! I love watching every single year. This year, I decided to create my very own Grinch Dinner! This Grinch Dinner features all the recipes inspired by Dr Suess himself, Roast Beast, Who Pudding, Who Hash, and more! Make it with me!
Host a Grinch Dinner for Christmas
Gather the garland and call all your Whos, it’s time to host the ultimate Grinchy feast!
I’ve always been a fan of themed parties because they provide such a fun way to entertain, eat, and celebrate together. Plus, this theme is just so creative!
You can have a lot of fun with this Grinch Feast! Remember as you party that the Grinch learned “It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes, or bags. Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”

Let’s Talk Food!
The fun thing about planning this menu is that the recipes are all titled and themed after the Grinch movie! My job was to pair the recipe title, with a classic, who-ville-worthy recipe. And, I think I nailed it!
As the Grinch says, “Then the Whos, young and old, will sit down to a feast. And they’ll feast, and they’ll feast. And they’ll feast, feast, feast, feast! They’ll feast on Who pudding and rare Who roast beast.”
Later in the movie, when the Grinch steals the feast, he mentions the Who-Hash. “He took the Whos’ feast! He took the Who-pudding! Took the roast beast! He cleaned out that icebox as quick as a flash. Why, that Grinch even took their last can of Who-hash!”
Drawing on those recipes titles, and the characters themselves, I feel that I created a timeless, classic, recreation of the famous Grinch Dinner!
Grinch Dinner Menu
- Roast Beast
- Who Hash
- Who Pudding
- Cindy Lu Salad
- Whoville Treats
- Grinch Juice
Roast Beast
For the Roast Beasts, I wanted an easy, effortless meat that is both flavorful and delicious! This simple Sunday Roast recipe is just that!
Cook it up in either the slow cooker or the Instant Pot and have a tender, juicy, roast beast ready for your Grinch Feast!
Who Hash
For the Who Hash, I wanted a recipe that was colorful and flavorful! Who Hash to me are colorful scalloped potatoes! My recipe for Scalloped Yukon Gold and Sweet Potatoes is the perfect potato side dish for the Who’s to chow down on! Can’t you just imagine dumping these perfectly round, colorful potato disks out of a can? 😉
Who Pudding
For the Who Pudding, I immediately thought of Rice Pudding! It’s hearty, sweet, and an easy recipe to make! My Cinnamon Rice Pudding is made in the Instant Pot, and it’s the perfect addition to the Who’s Christmas table!
Cindy Lu Salad
You can’t have a Grinch dinner without Cindy Lu! This Cindy Lu-inspired salad is sweet, soft, and pink, just like Miss Cindy herself! It’s another classic menu item, fluffy Cranberry Salad!
Whoville Treats
In the movie, the Grinch steals the Who’s Christmas tree! So, our Grinch Dinner had to feature Christmas trees, of course! But these are Whoville trees, so they need to be colorful and bright! I made my Fruity Pebbles Cereal Treats in a 9×13 dish, cut them in half down the middle, then into triangle wedges. Then, I piped on white chocolate as trim and placed sprinkles on as ornaments. The stump is a fun, decorative marshmallow I found at World Market!
Grinch Juice
You can’t have a Grinch Dinner without a menu item featuring, the Grinch himself! This 2 ingredient Grinch Juice is the perfect addition to tie everything together! It’s equal parts Green Hawaiian Punch and Sprite! I then topped it with whipping cream and a strawberry half that looked like a heart, for obvious reasons!
