Here’s What You’ll Need
- 1-gallon water
- 2-3 cups sugar
- 2 Tablespoons citric acid
- 2 Tablespoons lemon extract
- 1 lemon, sliced
What is Citric Acid?
Citric Acid is such a versatile powder to have in your kitchen.
Citric acid is found naturally in citrus fruits, especially lemons and limes. It’s what gives them their tart, sour taste.
Because of its acidic, sour-tasting nature, citric acid is most commonly used as a flavoring and preserving agent, especially in soft drinks and candies.
It adds the perfect amount of tartness to this lemon water recipe! I pick mine up locally at Oson Gygi.
