Pear & Cinnamon Pecan Salad
Pear & Pecan Salads are so popular, but they are often times all the same! Made with the same ingredients and the same dressings. I wanted to create something fresh and different. Pear Season is in full swing here in Utah!
I love using fresh pears in the recipe because they add a sweet flavor and a nice crunch! I am all about salads that have a little extra bite. That’s why I love adding candied nuts and fresh fruits to my salad recipes!
All about the Candied Cinnamon Pecans
The key ingredient to making this salad really delicious is making the Candied Cinnamon Pecans! They are a real treat!! I always make a large batch of the nuts so I can have them on a hand for a couple of weeks! They are great added to salads like this, or just plain as a snack!https://alexdaynes.com/cinnamon-candied-pecans/
The best Sweet Cinnamon Dressing
This Pear & Cinnamon Pecan salad is a modern twist on an old classic! This salad is made with fresh pears, candied pecans, and then it is topped with a homemade sweet cinnamon dressing.
What chicken to add?
You can use any fully cooked chicken in this recipe! I like to bake the chicken in the oven the day before, that way I can allow it to cool completely before adding it to this salad.
This recipe is the perfect salad to transition from Summer into Fall! Pears are in season here in Utah in September! It’s the perfect blend of savory and sweet.
