This recipe I put together, is a delicious knock off protein ‘Starbucks’ steamer! This steamer tastes like a fancy Starbucks drink, but it is packed with protein! It is great for cold early mornings, late nights, or when you want a sweet hot drink during the day! It is made with almond milk, Beverly International UMP protein powder, postum, and vanilla stevia sweetener that makes it oh so irresistible and delicious.
Postum is is a powdered roasted-grain beverage once popular as a coffee substitute. Postum is made from roasted wheat bran, wheat and molasses. It is a 10‑calorie beverage! It is also caffeine-free, fat-free, trans-fat-free, sodium-free, and kosher. It is a great alternative to coffee and is full of added health benefits. When blended with protein powder, it creates a creamy, delicious steamer.
You can purchase postum at your local grocery store, or have it ordered right to your door through on Amazon!
This Cusinart Smart stick is the absolute best for this recipe! It helps make the protein powder mixture frothy and light! I highly recommend using one in this recipe!
The flavors I suggest for this recipe include Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream and more! Whatever flavor you enjoy will taste delicious! Head to Beverly International’s site and use the code “NEW25” to get 25% off your entire order!

Protein Packed ‘Starbucks’ Steamer
1/2 cup almond milk
1 scoop UMP Protein Powder
A few drops of vanilla stevia sweetener
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon postum
Start by whisking together almond milk and the protein powder flavor of choice. Add a few drops of vanilla stevia and whisk with a hand blender until frothy.
On the stove top or in the microwave, heat up 1/2 cup water to desired steamer temperature. Pour into mug and add 1 teaspoon of postum. While mixing, add frothy protein mix into postum blend. Enjoy!
This will taste like a fancy Starbucks drink with no coffee. If you are not a fan of this flavor, you can also use a sugar free hot chocolate mix in place of the postum!
