I first saw this recipe concept on TikTok in 2022 and knew I wanted to make it! I loved how simple the salmon was to make, and how fresh the rice bowl looked in the finished product!
This recipe has been known to be easy and let me tell you, it is!
There are only a handful of ingredients and 10 minutes of cook time standing between you and this delicious, nutritious rice bowl!

What You’ll Need
- 8-10 ounces salmon, cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt & pepper
- 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 avocado
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 green onion, diced
- Spicy mayo
- Sesame seeds
Cooking Salmon in the Air Fryer
My new favorite way to cook salmon is in the air fryer! I love it for a couple of reasons.
One is that the air fryer preheats so quickly, it makes cooking the salmon a breeze.
Two is that I like my salmon a little crispy on the edges, especially when it is cubed like this! It gives each piece of fish a little bite to it, which I love!
Most fish recipes cook at 400°F for around 6-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. So easy!

Salmon Rice Bowl

Ingredients
- 8-10 ounces salmon, cubed
- 1 teaspoon salt & pepper
- 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- 1 cup cooked coconut rice
- 1 avocado
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 green onion, diced
- Spicy mayo
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Season the salmon cubes with salt, pepper, and old bay.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey. Add the salmon to the marinade and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400*F.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and add the salmon. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the salmon, is cooked through and browned.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of coconut rice, topped with avocado, cucumber, green onions, sesame seeds, and spicy mayo. Enjoy!
Notes
*Spicy mayo is two parts mayo to one part sriracha. Whisk together and enjoy!
