As silly as it may sound, adding a melted popsicle or two to your bowl of fruit as the dressing makes a lot of sense.
Most fresh fruit salad recipes call for lime juice or honey. Popsicles have a similar flavor profile to those ingredients.
Plus, it’s a fun way to get the kids involved and have them eat more fruit—or popsicles, if that’s what you’re after!

What Popsicles Should I Use?
Melted popsicles are the secret ingredient that everybody loves in this fruit salad! They are great because they add more juiciness and sweet flavor without dairy or other sweeteners.
You can use any melted popsicles you want in this fruit salad!
I’ve used the lime-flavored Outshine popsicles and loved the results. I’ve also used the Rocket Pops for a Patriotic pop; those are so fun!

Summer Fruit Salad
This summer fruit salad is made with all summer's fun, fresh produce, plus a nostalgic summer treat... popsicles! That's right! Melted popsicles are the glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 pint strawberries, sliced
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 pint raspberries
- 1 pint blackberries
- 1-2 melted popsicle
- 1-2 fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- Place popsicles in a bowl and allow them to melt.
- Add the washed blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries to the bowl, along with the sliced strawberries
- Mix together the berries with the melted popsicle juice until all the fruit is coated.
- Sprinkle the fruit mixture with fresh mint if desired Enjoy cold on a hot summer day!
