The perfect Valentine’s treat! These Sweet Mini Strawberry Tarts are totally delicious and fun. They are made with a buttery, crispy, crumbly tart crust, and filled with flavorful strawberry jam. These mini tarts are a real treat. They would be perfect for the upcoming holiday for kids, spouses, or even family members. Make it with me!
Sweet Mini Strawberry Tarts
I got the idea to make these sweet mini tarts when I purchased some new valentine heart molds at TJ MAXX. That is when I began trying to think of something fun to make inside the molds.
I thought a mini tart would be so cute! Then I thought, what if I filled the tart with a simple strawberry jam?
I gave it a go and loved how it turned out! The tarts are so cute with the heart shape and I love the bold red center.
Heart-Shaped Molds
I found some heart shape molds at TJ Maxx this year in the home goods section. They may still have some if you want to go look.
If you want to order some online, I have found a few options on amazon that I will link below. You want to look for molds that are oven safe.
If you don’t want to use a heart shape or don’t care to buy a new mold, you can also make these mini tarts in a muffin or cupcake tin!
Obviously, the mini strawberry tarts will be round instead of heart-shaped, but they will still have the same delicious taste!

What Jam Should I Use?
For this recipe, I actually used Smuckers Strawberry Jam. That is what I had on hand in my fridge, and I did like the flavor it brought to the tarts.
You really can use any jam you want with this recipe from any brand or even homemade!
You can also play around with flavors. I think a raspberry or even a mixed berry jam would be yummy in the center too!
You will have to tell me what you’ve tried and how you like it in the comments below! I am curious to hear what is your favorite!

Sweet Mini Strawberry Tarts
Sweet Mini Strawberry Tarts with a homemade tart crust and sweet strawberry filling is simply irresistible.
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small cubes
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 Tablespoons strawberry jam
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Add the flour, sugar, and salt to a food processor and pulse for a few seconds until combined.
- Add egg and vanilla extract and keep pulsing until the dough is no longer dry and starts to clump together for about 10-15 seconds. Do not process to the point that a large ball of dough is formed. The dough should be quite crumbly with large clumps. Another way to check if it’s done is to take a piece of dough and press it between your thumbs – the dough should stick without feeling dry or crumbly.
- Turn dough to a lightly floured surface and form into a ball. It should come together easily without being sticky. Flatten the ball slightly with your hands to form a thick disk.
- Divide dough in half. Then, divide each half into thirds. You should have 6 pieces of dough.
- Spray a mold or muffin pan with nonstick spray, then place a dough ball in each tin. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of each tin.
- Bake crust for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- After baking, remove from the oven and let the tarts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once the tart crust has cooled, place 1/2 tablespoon of strawberry jam in the center of each tart and serve. Enjoy!
