What Noodles to use for this Sweet Pineapple Pasta Salad
For this recipe, I like to use bowtie pasta noodles. For all pasta salads honestly, I like to use bowtie noodles!
They are my favorite noodle!
You can really use whatever you have on hand or whatever noodle you prefer for this one. Macaroni, Rotini, or Shells would be some other noodle recommendations you can try!
Added Protein
Like most, I like to add a little protein to my pasta salad to make it hearty. This recipe comes from an old recipe book my mom put together for me when I was little.
The way the recipe is written, cooked chicken is the added protein of choice! You can use grilled, baked, or shred up a rotisserie chicken for this salad.
After making it a few times, we started adding cubed ham because we liked how it complimented the flavor in the pineapple.
Both ways are delicious, so I’ll leave the protein choice up to you in my Sweet Pineapple Pasta Salad! You cannot go wrong!
