These Homemade Ginger Immunity Shots are the perfect at-home booster you need during sick season. These ginger shots give your immune system the help it needs to fight off infection and germs during the cold winter months. They use simple ingredients, are less expensive than buying them out or from the grocery stores, and it only takes 5 minutes to make a whole batch!

What You’ll Need to Make Homemade Ginger Immunity Shots
- 3 large oranges, peeled
- 2 lemons, peeled
- 2-inch ginger nob, peeled
- 2-inch turmeric nob or 2 Tablespoons turmeric powder

- 2 cups water

How to Prepare Immune-Boosting Shots at Home

- Place a fine-mesh strainer over a measuring cup or bowl and let the liquid strain from the pulp. Mix with a spoon to help strain the liquid. Discard the pulp.
- Pour 1 or 2 oz servings into a small glass and enjoy.
- Store the remaining mixture in a glass jar in the refrigerator.

What Homemade Ginger Immunity Shots Do For You
- Oranges: Citrus fruits like lemon and oranges are full of vitamin C, a water-soluble vitamin that your body can’t make on its own, which means that you have to get it from your diet. Plus, it is an antioxidant.
- Lemon Juice: Lemon also provides a nice dose of ascorbic acid.
- Ginger Root: Ginger is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ingredient.
- Ground Turmeric: The active ingredient in turmeric is a polyphenol called curcumin. Curcumin has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties
- Black Pepper: helps activate turmeric.
These aren’t a cure-all, but they will help support your immune system. Other things that support a healthy immune system include eating a well-balanced diet rich in nutrient-dense foods.
I enjoy these wellness shots any time of year, but especially when I am pregnant or during the winter months.
