Lettuce Wrap Appetizers
This recipe is the perfect recipe to share! The ingredients are simple and it is very easy to put together. It’s a perfect family recipe that is fun to prepare, as well as to eat. I like to serve these lettuce wraps as a self service bar. Everyone likes different toppings and flavors, so each person can build them how they want. I think this would be a hit at any event, a shower, or any party.
Serve Them As A Main Course
You can also serve this recipe as a main course. Cook it up and serve it with a side of rice or noodles and you have any easy dinner recipe! I love how unique and fun these Asian Lettuce Wraps are.
Flavorful Asian Lettuce Wraps
The ingredients for this recipe all come from your regular grocery store. The main flavor comes from my favorite Asian sauce, Hoisin Sauce. Hoisin sauce is not very good all by itself, but when you pair it with some soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and other sauces, the flavor is amazing.
For these lettuce wraps, you can serve them on butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce. My favorite way to serve them is on both. I like to place a slice of iceberg in a slice of butter lettuce, that way I get both the crunch and flexibility from both types.
Turn up the Heat!
The level of spiciness in this recipe is dependent on personal preference. I like it more sweet with a little heat. The heat comes from a chili garlic paste. The more you add, the more of a kick the sauce will have. It’s totally up to you!
