Chips and Salsa are my very favorite thing to snack on! I seriously love them! This Simple Blender Salsa could not be easier to make and it tastes like restaurant quality! I am a picky salsa eater and I can say with confidence that this recipe is my favorite.
This recipe is a dump recipe! Dump a handful of ingredients into your blender or food processor and pulse it a couple of times.
Done! So easy! Make it with me!
Homemade Salsa
We make homemade salsa weekly at my house. We love it on it’s own with a bag of tortilla chips! Also, we love to use it as a topping on other recipes! Tacos, salads, burritos, nachos, it’s delicious with it all!
The thing I love about homemade salsa is making it with fresh ingredients! It gives it such a bold flavor!
What Tomatoes Work Best?
For this recipe, when reaching for fresh tomatoes, I prefer using Roma or Cherry Tomatoes. I feel they have the best texture for this blender salsa and don’t add a ton of extra juice.
You can also use whole, canned tomatoes!
This recipe also calls for Rotel! I buy Rotel by the case because I use it in EVERYTHING! The Rotel with the diced tomatoes and green chilis has such a great flavor!! You can sub regular diced tomatoes but this is what I use and love.
What Blender Should I Use?
This Simple Blender Salsa can be made in a blender or in your food processor. I typically reach for my BlendTec blender when making this recipe! Either method will work.
You want to be sure to only use the “pulse” function, rather than turning the blender on to full power. You want the texture to be like salsa rather than a smoothie. Don’t over blend!

Notes
If you don't have fresh tomatoes on hand, you can also use 1 can of whole tomatoes.
