They are soft, chewy, and delicious! You have the option of stuffing them with salted caramel, or just cooking them up the traditional way! Make it with me!

Chewy Snickerdoodles
Yields 2 dozen
1 cup softened butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350.
In a stand mixer cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Next, add the dry ingredients; flour, baking soda, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt. Mix on low until dough forms.
In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon for topping.
Scoop dough into 2 inch balls. Roll balls around in sugar mix until coated.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are golden.
Let cool. Enjoy!
**Optional- if you want to make these snickerdoodles salted caramel stuffed, simply add a small cube of caramel to the center of each dough ball before rolling in cinnamon sugar! It’s delicious!
